MY MISSION

I grew up in this industry working from the ground up in my father’s event production company.  We produced some of the most epic automotive events of our time including the Hot Rod Power Tour, Car Craft Summer Nationals, and Off-Road Expo.  

I attended my first SEMA Show when I was 18 years old and remember being awestruck by the energy of an industry fueled by innovation, networking and business partnerships. My passion for the automotive aftermarket ignited after that first SEMA Show. Today, I am a 20-year active SEMA member and co-founder of Lodestone Events, producers of world-class events including the Overland Expo series.

I am an experienced public trade show and consumer event strategist with a passion for OHV land-use advocacy, protecting our right to modify our vehicles, fostering the careers of women and youth, and the sustainability of the automotive aftermarket industry.

Over my career, I’ve produced thousands of events, reaching millions of automotive enthusiasts nationwide across racing/performance, classic car, powersports and off-road.

My event management background and experience pivoting a live-event business through the pandemic makes me uniquely qualified to guide SEMA’s development of a hybrid trade show strategy that is both live and virtual, and a 365-day content plan to engage young innovators and expand SEMA’s reach globally. 

I am an industry professional that raises the bar, questions the status quo and drives change. As a SEMA Board member, I will strive to protect our right to innovate, break records, and to recreate in the automobile. 

I am honored to be running for the SEMA Board of Directors and humbled to be chosen by my peers to take on this opportunity.  

• SEMA Show growth and sustainability:  Guiding the growth of the SEMA Show via the development of a 365-day content strategy and a hybrid approach to the event that engages a larger and younger audience of enthusiasts globally across multiple platforms.  

• Enhancing SEMA member benefits:  Creating a 365-day content strategy and education platform will greatly enhance SEMA member benefits. SEMA must create new education paths, research, and industry data for the budding new segments of growth including Overlanding, UTV, ATV, Adventure Travel Trailer, Autonomy, and Alternative Energies.  SEMA must also supply sponsored resources for companies to utilize to mitigate the threats of energy technology, wage inflation, and new labor provisions that are rapidly changing the automotive workforce.  Retention and recruiting of workers in an already competitive workplace continues to bring challenges for SEMA member companies. 

• Protecting motorized access to public lands:  The increase in OHV land use by the motorized off-road community and the non-motorized outdoor recreation community combined with the decrease in the availability of OHV access to public lands, is causing overcrowding and irresponsible use of designated OHV areas.   This diminishes public support for land management programs.  In addition, wilderness areas and monument designations along with the current administration’s view on climate change continue to threaten motorized access and should be considered a deep threat to any manufacturer, distributor or other business that relies on access to public lands.

• Protection from the threat of intellectual property and trademark infringements + the counterfeit community:  With innovation and technology at the forefront of the automotive aftermarket, intellectual property protections, counterfeit products, and trademark infringement are major threats to the growth and stability of our industry.  SEMA members should benefit from education and guidance provided by SEMA and SEMA-sponsored legislation to protect our members from the counterfeit community.

• Automotive + aftermarket industry sustainability:  The Green New Deal/The Biden Plan for a Clean Revolution and Environmental Justice calls for the U.S. to achieve a 100% clean energy, net-zero emissions economy by no later than 2050.  The clean energy plan poses a tremendous threat to today's automotive aftermarket manufacturer, however, our industry also has a huge opportunity to be integral to the innovation and technology that forges a path to The Green New Deal's goal.
